WolfInstitute Plans Four New Programs In Fall 2004 Series Of Seminars

Four new programs will be featured this month in the WolfInstitute fall 2004 series of employment-related seminars aimed at in-house counsel and human resources professionals.

All courses, taught by attorneys and human resources professionals at WolfBlock, take place at the WolfInstitute Training Center, 1650 Arch Street, Philadelphia.

This month's schedule of seminars includes:

  • Wednesday, December 1, Question Your Questions, 9 to 11 a.m., with Jodi T. Plavner, WolfBlock, as instructor. The seminar will offer advice on interview questions to ask and how to measure both objective and subjective skills.
  • Thursday, December 2, ADA, FMLA, STD and Workers' Compensation, 9 am to noon, with Linda B. Hollinshead, WolfBlock, as instructor. This seminar is designed to help employers determine their rights and obligations to employees on leaves of absence.
  • Friday, December 3, A Morning at the Movies: A Manager's Guide to Handling Common Employment Issues, Illustrated by Popular Film, 9 to 11 a.m., with Jonathan D. Wetchler as instructor. Popular movie clips will illustrate the major employment issue for managers including: handling discipline and discharge, dealing with employee problems potentially arising out of disabilities, and avoiding and responding to sexual harassment claims.
  • Tuesday, December 7, Investigations of Harassment and Other Claims, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with Jonathan A. Segal as instructor. This seminar provides a practical overview of how to avoid the legal minefields that can result in significant liability to either the complainant or the accused.
