WolfInstitute ExpandsSeminar Series To New York City

The WolfInstitute had begun offering employment-related CLE seminars in New York City, as an expansion of its successful similar program in Philadelphia.

All courses, aimed at in-house counsel and human resourcesprofessionals, take place at the offices of WolfBlock, 250 Park Avenue, Manhattan.

The November New York seminars will take place according to the following schedule:

  • Wednesday, November 3, Best Practices in Hiring/Recruiting, 9 to 11:30 a.m., with Jodi T. Plavner, WolfBlock, as instructor. This seminar focuses on the best practices in hiring and recruiting with a particular focus on valuing diversity, considering subjective competencies and minimizing safety risks.
  • Tuesday, November 9, COBRA: The New Rules, 9 to 11:30 a.m., with Kathryn E. Larkin, WolfBlock, as instructor. This seminar is an overview of an employer's obligations under COBRA and includes a discussion of the new regulations as issued by the U.S. Department of Labor.
  • Wednesday, November 10, Cafeteria Plans, Flexible Spending Accounts and Other Fringe Benefit Plans, 9 to 11 a.m., with William D. Wright, WolfBlock, as instructor. This seminar will focus on implementing and managing cafeteria plans, flexible spending arrangements and fringe benefit plans.
  • Wednesday, November 17, Employee Leaves of Absence Policies, 9 to 11:30 a.m., with Linda B. Hollinshead, WolfBlock, as instructor. This program will focus on key legal and practical considerations in developing leaves of absence policies that will both guide and educate employees on their rights and responsibilities.
