WMACCA Plans Potpourri Of Programs

The Washington Metropolitan Area Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America program calendar for October includes a potpourri of topics of interest to corporate counsel.

On Tuesday, October 12, WMACCA will present its monthly IT/IP Forum, a roundtable discussion of hot topics in IT/IP law. The session will run from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the site to be announced.

On Thursday, October 14, WMACCA has scheduled a session titled Sentencing Guidelines: A Guide for In-House Counsel.

The program will take place at the offices of Holland & Knight LLP, 1600 Tysons Boulevard, Suite 700, McLean, VA. The starting time is still to be announced.

The speakers will be Deborah House of Fannie Mae and other Holland & Knight attorneys to be named.

On the same day, the chapter also will offer a session titled Business Immigration - The Current Issues at a time and place to be announced. The featured speaker will be Bo Cooper, former general counsel with the Immigration and Naturalization Service.

On Thursday, October 28, WMACCA will present a program titled Truth or Consequences: Responding to Government Investigations.

The program will take place at the Tysons Corner Marriott, 8028 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA at a time to be announced.

The session will examine how to conduct internal investigations under the spotlight and the attorney-client privilege.

The featured speaker will be Joe Covington, Jenner & Block.
