When To Use Arbitration

The New York County Lawyers' Association (NYCLA) this month will present a CLE seminar titled Using Arbitration to Resolve Business Transactions.

The program will take place on Tuesday, May 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the NYCLA Home of Law, 14 Vesey Street, New York City.

Attorneys and other professionals involved in business transactions often face the dilemma of whether to use arbitration to resolve disputes that arise during the course of the particular transaction. This program will provide a practical analysis of arbitration and the factors lawyers and business professionals should consider in making this determination.

Panelists will include arbitrators, litigators, transactional attorneys and business professionals who have had both rewarding and not-so-rewarding experiences with the arbitration process.

The program chairs are Leona Beane, chair of the NYCLA Arbitration and ADR Committee, and Hilary N. Hughes, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP.
