Techniques & Strategies to Prevent Employment Discrimination Lawsuits Through Negotiation is the title of a CLE seminar planned for this month by the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
The program will take place on Wednesday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to noon at the House of the Association, 42 West 44th Street, New York City.
Plaintiffs repeatedly indicate that it is how the situation was handled [or communicated] by supervisors and the organization that fueled their anger and provided the energy for them to exercise their right to sue for employment discrimination.
Taught by an employment attorney who has spent years as a corporate frontline executive manager and a New York State Court mediator, the course will address how a majority of discrimination legal disputes stem from poor communication and explain the techniques and strategies which can be used to prevent a lawsuit.
The instructor is Elaine Rosenblum, a member of the faculty of New York University's Conflict and Dispute Resolution Program.
