Stradley Ronon hosted the 2011 "Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes" CEO Corporate Recruitment Breakfast on April 13 in the firm's Philadelphia office. Guests to the invitation-only breakfast included Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, Step Out Walk co-chair Billie Jean King and NBC 10's Lori Wilson. Attendees had the opportunity to learn what steps they can take to help raise money for diabetes research and education. The Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes will take place October 1, 2011 at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Stradley Ronon managing partner and YMCA board member Jeffrey Lutsky was recognized at the YMCA of Philadelphia & Vicinity's annual board meeting on June 2, 2011 with the association's "Volunteer of the Year" award. Mr. Lutsky was recognized for his for his generosity of spirit, hard work and compassion for others. Additionally, Mr. Lutsky was elected as vice-chair of the organization.
Mr. Lutsky oversees strategic growth initiatives for the firm's 195 attorneys and six offices. As a litigator and former chair of the firm's litigation practice group, he has tried to verdict or judgment a wide range of complex commercial, white collar and products liability cases in 28 years at Stradley Ronon.
Stradley Ronon partner Danielle Banks was named a "Top African-American Attorney" by the Philadelphia Tribune - a newspaper targeting the African-American community in the greater Philadelphia region. Banks was selected in the area of Corporate Defense by her peers and noted as an "expert" in her craft.
As a partner in the firm's litigation practice group, Ms. Banks represents companies and individuals in employment law matters, including claims brought under Title VII, Section 1981, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act. She also defends clients in Section 1983, Title VI and Fair Housing Act matters. Her practice includes products liability and other complex commercial litigation.
