The State Bar of Texas this month will present its 29th Annual Advanced Civil Trial Course.
The program will take place Wednesday-Friday, November 8-10 at the Westin Oaks Hotel, 5011 Westheimer, Houston. Sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day one, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day two, and 8:20 a.m. to 2 p.m. on day three. A video replay of the live session has been scheduled for Wednesday-Friday, December 6-8 at the Joe C. Thompson Conference Center, 2405 Robert Dedmon Drive, Austin, TX.
Topics to be covered during the three-day event include: Updates in Eight Critical Areas; Two Expert Witness Panels; Supreme Court Update; IP for Civil Litigators; Insurance: Recent Changes & Cases; Enforceability of Arbitration; Criminal Issues for Civil Litigators, and Do's and Don'ts From Local Judges.
The course director is Linda S. McDonald, Shaddox Compere Walraven & Good. Among the speakers will be the Hon. J. Dale Wainwright, justice, Supreme Court of Texas; A. Martin Wickliff Jr., Epstein Becker Green Wickliff & Hall, and the Hon Craig Enoch (ret.), Winstead Sechrest & Minick P.C.
