Southwest Ohio ACCA Plans Pair Of Seminars For In-House Counsel



The Southwestern Ohio Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America (SWO ACCA) has planned a pair of seminars focusing on issues of interest to in-house counsel.


On Thursday, April 22, SWO ACCA will offer a session titled Counsel Roundtable: What the Board Really Expects From In-House Counsel, or How to Avoid Wearing the Bright Orange Jumpsuit.


The speakers will be Debra K. Crane, senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, Ohio Casualty Corporation; Julie S. Janson, corporate secretary and senior counsel, Cinergy Corporation; Denise Kuprionis, E.W. Scripps Company, and Laura Nyquist, NCR.


The program will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the DoubleTree Guest Suites Cincinnati, 6300 East Kemper Road, Cincinnati.

On Tuesday, May 4, SWO ACCA will join with the Cincinnati Bar Association to present a program titled International Trade - What the In-House Attorney Should Know About Importing and Exporting.


The program moderator will be Walter E. Spiegel, vice president and general counsel, Standard Textile Company, Inc. Speakers at this session will include Benjamin H. Flowe Jr., Berliner, Corcoran & Rowe, L.L.P., and Julia M. McCalmon, Thompson Hine.


The seminar will take place from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati Conference Center, Room 500 Rookwood Tower, 3805 Edwards Road, Cincinnati.
