Southwest Ohio ACC-A SlatesSession On Protecting IP Assets

Your company's reputation, brand and profitability may be under attack and you don't even know it. Companies have invested millions in developing ways to use the Internet to attract customers, improve customer satisfaction and increase efficiency. But all these benefits can be quickly lost to cyber-thieves who take advantage of a company's lack of knowledge of the rights and remedies used to protect domain names and the associated intellectual property rights that companies have earned.

This timely issue will be addressed by the Southwest Ohio Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America this month at a corporate counsel roundtable titled Becoming the Master of Your Domain - Critical Steps for Protecting Your Online Presence.

The program will take place on Thursday, October 7 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Germano's Restaurant, 9415 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati.

The session is designed to help attendees identify the risks to more effectively protect their company's online intellectual property assets.

Speakers will include Timothy B. Matthews, Keating, Muething & Klekamp, P.L.L.; Gretchen M. Olive, associate general counsel and manager IP services, CSC, and Nancy Wagner, counsel-information technology, GE Transportation-Aircraft-Engines.
