South Florida ACCA Plans SeminarOn Weather-Related Insurance Coverage

As the 2006 hurricane season approaches, the South Florida Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America this month has scheduled a CLE seminar titled Natural Disaster Coverage.

The program will take place on Thursday, May 18 from 2:30 to 6 p.m. at the Wyndham Ft. Lauderdale Airport, 1870 Griffin Road, Dania Beach, FL.

The seminar will spotlight recent insurance issues arising out of last season's Gulf of Mexico Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma and related litigation activity.

In addition, speakers will examine occurrence issues, addressing questions such as: Was the windstorm one claim and the tidal surge a second occurrence? Could policyholders potentially be entitled to double, triple or even quadruple 'occurrence' limits? How are the courts deciding the issue?

Panelists will be Richard P. Lewis and John N. Ellison of the firm of Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C.

For details on registration fees and available CLE credits, see the Bulletin Board on The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel website at www.metrocorpcounsel.com.
