The firm of Sills Cummis Epstein & Gross P.C. this month is planning a Meet-the-Author seminar titled What Lurks in Your Computer: Will It Help or Hurt You?
The program, set for Thursday, January 8, is part of the firm's Avoiding Missteps in Employment Practices Series that focuses on a full range of employment issues. Each seminar is designed to provide information, updates and trends on workplace issues to assist employers in developing and maintaining effective employee policies and procedures.
This seminar will include a discussion of appropriate corporate disclosure policies, intellectual property protection strategies and the impact of electronic discovery on employment litigation. These issues will be addressed by Sills Cummis partners Lynne Anne Anderson, Linda B. Katz and Marc S. Friedman.
Attendees also will hear from Paul G. Lewis, managing partner of P.G. Lewis & Associates who has been featured on CNBC and in publications such as Forbes and Inc. Magazine, about the intriguing world of data forensics and how experts in the field can uncover e-mail communications, account information, file copying, data destruction, account usage and other activities performed on computers, even if the data has been deleted or destroyed.
Serving as program moderator is David W. Garland, co-chair of the Sills Cummis Employment and Labor Practice Group.
The seminar will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Sills Cummis offices, The Legal Center, One Riverfront Plaza, Newark, NJ. Breakfast and registration begin at 8 a.m.
