Seminar Will Take A Global LookAt Business Bankruptcies

The Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America is planning a CLE seminar titled Business Bankruptcies in a Global Economy: Competing and Conflicting Issues for the U.S. and Europe.

The program will take place on Thursday, January 19 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the offices of Arent Fox PLLC, 1675 Broadway, 34th Floor, New York City.

This luncheon seminar will discuss important new legal and business developments relating to cross-border business bankruptcies, with particular reference to different perspectives and legal systems in the U.S. and Europe.

Lawyers from the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy and the United States, and a U.S. bankruptcy judge, will offer their insights, perspectives and predictions.

Serving as co-chairs for the program are James R. Silkenat, Arent Fox and former chair, ABA Section of International Law, and the Hon. Elizabeth S. Stong, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of New York.

The panel of speakers will include Brigitte R. Gambini, Jeantet Associates; Robert Grossman, chair of the Bankruptcy Practice group at Arent Fox; Peter Manning, Simmons & Simmons; Giovanni Nardulli, Gianni, Origoni, Grippo & Partners, and Victor Xercavins, Cuatrecasas LLP.
