Seminar Will Outline AdvantagesOf Delaware Corporate Law

Massachusetts CLE this month is planning a seminar titled Delaware Corporate Law - It's Not Just for 'Big Clients.'

The program will take place on Monday, June 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the MCLE Conference Center, 10 Winter Place, Boston.

Speakers will explain on an introductory level what attorneys need to know to understand the advantages and disadvantages of being a Delaware corporation. Attendees can expect to learn: how Delaware became the pre-eminent corporation law; the differences between laws governing Massachusetts and Delaware corporations; the questions to consider when deciding whether to incorporate in Delaware; the additional requirements and expenses when a Massachusetts business incorporates in Delaware; whether to consider reincorporating an existing corporation in Delaware, and the impact of recent changes in Massachusetts laws governing corporations.
