The South/Central Texas Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America early next month is planning a seminar titled Thinking About the Unthinkable: How to Prepare for and Respond to a Governmental Investigation.
The program will take place on Wednesday, June 1 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at The Plaza Club, 2100 Frost Bank Tower, 100 East Houston Street, San Antonio, TX.
Speakers for the luncheon session will be David L. Doggett, former general counsel for The Scooter Store, and Laura Sanders, former special agent for the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS.
Mr. Doggett will address those things he learned first hand that were good to have in place when the unthinkable occurred, as well as the decisions that general counsel will have to help the company make in response to an investigation.
Ms. Sanders will address the investigator's perspective.
