Bankruptcy remains one of the most viable areas of law for general practitioners. The New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) had this in mind when it scheduled a CLE seminar this month titled Bankruptcy Basics, a session aimed at attorneys who normally do not handle bankruptcy cases.
The program will take place on Thursday, February 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Radisson Suites, Route 46 East, Fairfield, NJ.
Participants can expect to get a solid foundation in bankruptcy practice under Chapter 7, 11 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code, as well as learn about the new electronic filing system for handling bankruptcy matters.
The moderator for the evening session will be Richard B. Honig, Helring, Lindeman, Goldstein & Siegal, LLP. Other speakers will be Gary N. Marks, Norris, McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A.; Albert Russo, A. Russo, PC; John J. Scurra II, Standing Chapter 13 Trustee, and the Hon. Novalyn L. Winfield, U.S. Bankruptcy Court (Newark, NJ).
