The Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America and the firm of Torys LLP this month are sponsoring a CLE seminar titled Real Estate Issues for Non-Real Estate Lawyers: Practical Tips for In-House Counsel.
The program will take place on Tuesday, November 16 from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m. at the Torys offices, 466 Lexington Avenue, 20th Floor, New York City.
Most corporate counsel will, at some time in their careers, face questions related to real estate law. This seminar is designed to answer many of those questions for in-house counsel. The program will focus on leasing and is expected to touch on acquisitions, divestitures and financing.
Jennifer Settles, assistant general counsel of U-Haul International, will moderate the panel consisting of Miroslav Fajt and Gary Litke, partners in the Real Estate Group at Torys.
