Seminar Will Discuss'Real Estate Issues for Nonprofits'

The Pro Bono Partnership this month is planning a seminar titled Real Estate Issues for Nonprofits.

The program will take place on Thursday, November 18, from9 am to noon at PSE&G, 80 Park Plaza, Newark, NJ. Breakfast and registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.

This workshop addresses the real estate issues that nonprofits face when purchasing land and buildings, or leasing space as landlords or tenants, and provides an overview of legal issues involved in space-sharing and development projects, and renovation of existing facilities.

Experienced real estate practitioners will make presentations and participate in panel discussions designed to highlight legal issues that impact a nonprofit's ability to successfully lease, own, operate and/or develop real estate.

The moderator for the program will be Nancy Eberhardt, senior staff attorney, Pro Bono Partnership.
