Seminar Will Discuss International Mediation

JAMS and Law Seminars International next month have scheduled a seminar titled International Mediation.

The program, designed to help attorneys prepare for the explosive increase in international legal disputes, will take place on Friday, September 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Yale Club, 50 Vanderbilt Avenue, New York City. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The program's discussion topics will include:

Introduction and Overview: What Lawyers Need to Know About Mediating International Disputes;

What Lawyers, Corporate Managers and Mediators Need to Know to Be Effective in International Mediations;

Managing Global Mediation: General Counsel Discuss the Challenges of Managing International Disputes and Their Outside Counsel;

Davidson, executive director of international practice, JAMS; Katherine Hope Gurun, general counsel, Bechtel Corporation; Eileen Carroll, deputy chief executive, Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, and Richard Chernick, vice president and managing director, JAMS.
