Seminar Will Cover Trademark Issues

The Association of the Bar of the City of New York (ABCNY) on Tuesday, March 21 will present a CLE seminar titled Trademark Basics for Attorneys.

At this program, a panel of experts will teach the basics and the legal issues beyond that are essential to advising today's clients. Topics to be addressed include: What is a trademark and how can it be protected? How do you obtain a U.S. Trademark registration and maintain trademark rights? What do you do if you are involved in trademark infringement or dilution litigation? When can you make fair use of a trademark? How does trademark law apply to domain names, e-commerce and the Internet?

The program chair is Amanda C. Samuel, Colgate-Palmolive Company.

The program will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the House of the Association, 42 West 44th Street, New York City.
