Seminar To Outline Patent IssuesFor The Non-Patent Attorney

Martin Belisario, an intellectual property partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, and Kathryn R. Doyle, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, are serving as co-chairs this month for a Law Seminars International workshop titled Patent Law for Non-Patent Lawyers and Business Professionals.

The program will take place on Monday, February 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia Hotel, Ten Avenue of the Arts, Philadelphia. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

The program will assist the non-patent lawyer in advising clients on patent issues., how patents are enforced, international patent protections, and licensing considerations and will assist the business professional to make more effective choices in business decisions with patent implications.

Specific discussion topics will include the when, what and how of patent protection; working with the Patent Office to obtain a patent; international patent protection; management of ownership rights; exploitation of patent rights; patent due diligence, and infringement issues.
