Seminar Focus: Control of Intellectual Property



Governing and Controlling Corporate Intellectual Property & Intellectual Property as a Profit Center is the title of a CLE planned for this month by the Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America and the firm of Goodwin Procter LLP.

The breakfast program will take place on Wednesday, October 27 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Swissotel, 440 Park Avenue, New York City.

Discussion topics to be addressed at the seminar include:

  • Creating and Managing a Portfolio of IP Licenses;
  • Surviving IP Due Diligence: What Companies Should Know;

  • Integrating Research and Development Budgets, People and Ideas Into a Public Company.

Speakers at the morning session will be Ethan Horwitz, Ira J. Levy, Scott F. Duggan, Kingsley Taft and M. Sharon Webb, all of Goodwin Procter, and Brian Hinman, director of licensing, IBM Corporation.
