Securities Law Fundamentals Explained In Colorado Seminar

On Thursday, September 8, the Colorado Bar Association will offer Fundamentals of Securities Law 2011 at the CLECI Large Classroom, 1900 Grant Street in Denver.

It will run from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The bar is offering this program to deliver the timely, comprehensive and accurate information practitioners need for themselves and their clients on such SEC fundamentals as registration, exemptions, reporting requirements, liability and more. Topics include an overview of securities law (federal and Colorado), registration under the Securities Act of 1933, exemptions from registration and "private placements," reporting requirements of the SEC Act of 1934, securities law violations and legal ethics.

Among the faculty are Herrick K. Lidstone, Jr., Burns, Figa & Will PC; Michal R. MacPhail, Holme Roberts & Owen, LLP; and Jeffrey Sherman, Faegre & Benson, LLP.
