San Francisco Bar Seminar Focus: Health Care Bankruptcies

The Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco this month is preparing a CLE seminar titled Anatomy of a Health Care Insolvency Case: 'Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed (From Other Areas of Law) and Something Blue (Including Debtors and Creditors).'

The program will take place on Tuesday, June 13 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at The Bankers Club, 555 California Street, San Francisco.

Among the topics panelists will address are: Why Insolvency Professionals Need to Pay Attention to the Health Care Industry in the Next Three Years; Unique Issues Raised by the Insolvency of a Health Care Business; New Patient Care Ombudsman Requirements; New Rules Regarding Disposition of Patient Care Records, and Bankruptcy Court Jurisdiction Over and Unique Ability to Resolve Medicare and Medicaid Disputes.

Speakers will be Sam Maizel, Pachulski Stang Ziehl Young Jones & Weintraub, LLP; Mark Reagan, Hooper Lindy & Bookman, Inc., and Dennis Simon, XRoads Solutions Group.
