In a lunchtime seminar, the Bar Association of San Francisco will offer Foreign Corrupt Practices Act: SEC & DOJ think about FCPA.
It will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the association's conference center, 301 Battery Street in San Francisco. Jerry Roth, a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, and Mark Hair, a partner with the Stone Turn Group, will discuss the following issues: What do the DOJ and the SEC think about FCPA damages? How does the SEC calculate disgorgement and penalties? How does the DOJ apply the sentencing guidelines to calculate a fine? What can companies do to minimize settlement amounts with both agencies?
