Program Will Examine The BasicsOf Real Estate Practice

The Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) this month will present a CLE seminar titled Fundamentals of Real Estate Practice in three locations across the state.

Programs will take place on Thursday, August 10 at the PBI Conference Center, 5080 Ritter Road, Mechanicsburg, PA; on Thursday, August 17 at the Koppers Building, 436 Seventh Avenue, Pittsburgh, and on Tuesday, August 22 at the CLE Conference Center, Wanamaker Building, Juniper Street, Philadelphia. Sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at each location.

This program is designed to equip the practitioner wishing to develop a real estate practice with the fundamental practical knowledge and information needed to begin that practice. An experienced panel will overview some of the major areas of practice pointing out the tips, rules, practices and procedures, as well as the common pitfalls often encountered by those new to the area. In addition they will discuss the practical aspects of running a real estate practice - what materials to have on hand in your office library, where to turn for advice and assistance, what offices you need to be familiar with, and other resources available to the real estate practitioner.

Some of the topics to be discussed include: Residential versus Commercial Real Estate Transactions; Agreements of Sale; Titles; Liens; Financing; Closing; Environmental Considerations; Commercial Leases, and Zoning and Land Use Issues.

The course planner is Alan Nochumson, Nochumson, PC.
