The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) has scheduled a CLEseminar titled Using the Internetfor Legal Research With LeighWebber in two greater New York City locations late this month andearly next.
The programs will take place on Thursday, March 31 at the Southgate Tower, 371 Seventh Avenue, New York City, and on Friday, April 1 at the Sheraton Long Island Hotel at 110 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, Smithtown, NY. The session will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with registration starting at8:30 a.m.
The featured speaker is Leigh Webber, a legal technology consult who has taught law school courses and has lectured widely to CLE audiences on legal technology issues.
Specific discussion topics will include: protecting client confidentiality when using the Internet, using search engines for finding legal information, advanced search techniques, researching the U.S. code and federal regulations, researching federal case law, researching New York statutes and regulations, researching New York case law, government information, unconventional research techniques, and factual research.
