Pennsylvania Bar Institute To Present12th Annual Health Law Institute

The Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) has scheduled its 12th Annual Health Law Institute for Wednesday and Thursday, March 15and 16.

The institute will explore the latest-breaking health law issues arising in Pennsylvania and around the country.

Among the workshops being presented over the two days are:

Developments in Regulation of Embryonic Stem Cell Research and Cloning;

Hospitals in the Cross-Hairs: How to Prepare for an IRS Compliance Check Letter;

Legal Issues Relating to Employee Wellness Programs;

The Effective Use of ADR in Resolving Health Care Disputes;

Speciality Hospital Turf Wars: Antitrust and Economic Issues;

Evolving Privacy and Data Security Issues Impacting the Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industries.

The course planners for the institute are Edward F. Shay, Post & Schell, P.C., and Ruth M. Siegel, health law practitioner.

The institute will take place from 9:50 a.m. to 4:35 p.m. on the first day and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:35 p.m. on the second day at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 12th and Arch streets, Philadelphia.
