Land Use Development - 2004 is the title of a CLE seminar to be presented in three locations this month by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI).
The programs will take place on Thursday, July 8 at the PBI Conference Center, 5080 Ritter Road, Mechanicsburg, PA; on Friday, July 16 at the Conference Center at Mellon, 501 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, and on Thursday, July 22 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge, 1160 First Avenue, King of Prussia, PA. Eachsession runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with registration starting at 8 a.m.
The programs are designed to give attorneys an opportunity to learn the latest developments in areas of concern to municipalities and developers alike. The seminar addresses important issues in zoning and land use including:
Case law update featuring several significant recent decisions and pending cases;
Legislative update including changes that affect land development;
Developments in the "fair share" test;
Zoning for agricultural preservation;
Exclusionary zoning;
Regulation of unpopular uses;
Ethical issues for the solicitor and the developer's representative.
