PBI Continuing Internet Research Series At Jenkins Memorial Law Library In Philadelphia



The Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) this month and next is continuing its Internet Legal Research series of seminars.


The sessions are designed to show attorneys how to find a variety of legal resources on the Internet. All programs take place at the Jenkins Memorial Law Library, 833 Chestnut Street East, Philadelphia. The sessions are taught by Jenkins Library staffers Dan Giancaterino, Internet librarian, and Alice McCreary, reference librarian.


The programs will take place according to the following schedule:


Internet Basics I for Attorneys, Thursday, July 1 and Tuesday, August 3, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.;


Internet Basics II for Attorneys, Wednesday, July 7 and Tuesday, August 10, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.;


Advanced Internet Searching for Attorneys, on Tuesday, July 13 and Tuesday, August 24, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.;


Business & News Resources on the Internet, Tuesday, July 13 and Thursday, August 5, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.;


Government Resources on the Internet, Tuesday, July 27 and Wednesday, August 18, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.;


Medical Resources on the Internet, Friday, July 9 and Thursday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.;


DE Resources on the Internet, Wednesday, August 25, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.;


NJ Resources on the Internet, Thursday, August 26, 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.;


PA Resources on the Internet, Friday, July 23 and Friday, August 27, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.


Constructing Internet Queries, Friday, July 30 and Monday, August 30, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.;


Google ... Beyond the Basics, Thursday, July 15 and Thursday, August 19, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.;


Internet Ethics, Wednesday, July 28 and Tuesday, August 31, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.;


Internet Medical Literature Searching, Wednesday, July 21 and Tuesday, August 17, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
