Because in today's environment an understanding of outsourcing transactions is not only beneficial but essential for most corporate counsel, the Washington (DC) Metropolitan Area Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America on Tuesday, April 20 will present a seminar titled Outsourcing: What Every Corporate Counsel Should Know.
The presentation will provide a broad overview of the outsourcing market and typical offshore deals, including discussions on how to structure an outsourcing transaction, the role of corporate counsel, emerging trends and developments, current issues, and lessons learned.
The presenters will be Robert Zahler and Anil Pandare of Shaw Pittman LLP's Global Sourcing Group. Mr. Zahler, who has been practicing law for more than 25 years, founded Shaw Pittman's sourcing practice and has been structuring, negotiating and advising clients on outsourcing deals for more than 15 years. Mr. Pandare is a consultant who specializes in offshore outsourcing arrangements and has been providing information technology consulting and outsourcing services for more than 18 years.
