NYSBA Sections Plan Annual Meeting Programs

Sections of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) this month are planning a variety of relevant programs to be presented as part of the Association's Annual Meeting.

The sectional programs will run from Monday, January 23 through Friday, January 27 at the New York Marriott Marquis, 1535 Broadway, New York City.

On January 23, the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section will present a session titled Videogaming and Wagering: Legal Issues Impacting the Video Game and Online Gambling Industries from 1 to 4:45 p.m.

On Tuesday, January 24, the Intellectual Property Law Section and Tax Section have scheduled their annual meetings.

On Wednesday, January 25, the Business Law Section will present Corporate Counsel on the Firing Line - Current Legal, Compliance and Ethical Issues from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thomas C. Baxter, executive vice president and general counsel of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, will serve as moderator.

Three other sections have programs scheduled January 25, each running from 9 a.m. to noon. The Commercial and Federal Litigation Section will present Ethical Issues Faced by Commercial and Federal Litigators. The Health Law Section has planned Building Bridges Before and After the Flood - The Role of New York Health Care Providers in Disaster Planning and Response. And the International Law and Practice Section and the Corporate Counsel Section will jointly present NAFTA: 10 Years Later.

On Thursday, January 26, the Antitrust Law Section and the Real Property Law Section plan sectional annual meetings.

Similar programs are scheduled for Friday, January 27 by the Environmental Law Section and the Labor and Employment Law Section.
