NYCLA To PresentAnnual Business Law Seminar

The New York County Lawyers' Association (NYCLA) this month has scheduled a CLE seminar titled Business Law 2005: Hot Topics for the Experienced Business Lawyer.

The program will take place on Thursday, October 27 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m at the NYCLA Home of Law, 14 Vesey Street, New York City.

Prepared under the auspices of the Northeast Business Law Center at NYCLA, the annual business law hot topics program provides a unique opportunity for experienced transactional attorneys and litigators to consider important issues in depth with a panel of national importance.

The agenda is limited to four panels to permit an in-depth discussion including questions from those attending. The panels will be: Audit Letter Responses; Mergers and Acquisitions in a Cash-Rich Environment; Lawyer Malpractice in Business Transactions - New Approaches, and Directors: Can They Do Their Job? What Is Their Job?

The program co-chairs are Arthur Norman Field, Field Consulting Services, LLC, and Lawrence A. Hamermesh, director of the Institute of Delaware Corporate Law, Widener University School of Law. The luncheon keynote speaker will be the Hon. E. Norman Veasey, Weil,Gotshal & Manges LLP and former chief justice of the Delaware Supreme Court.
