NYCLA Plans Forum On Feerick Commission

The New York County Lawyers' Association (NYCLA) on Monday, November 29 will present a free public forum titled A Discussion Prompted by the Lopez Torres Case, the Feerick Commission Proposals and Recent Legislative Bills.

The forum will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the NYCLA Home of Law, 14 Vesey Street, New York City.

This will be the first public forum presented by the task force that was created in 2003 to examine and make recommendations about the Feerick Commission's reports, as well as take a broader look at the issues involved in judicial selection and judicial conduct.

The forum co-chairs are Thomas V. Marino, Dunnington Bartholow & Miller LLP, and Lloyd McAulay, ReedSmith LLP. The moderator for the forum will be Richard Briffault, professor, Columbia University Law School.
