NY ACCA Seminar Will Review Fair Credit Reporting Act Amendments



The Committee on Privacy of the Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America (NY ACCA) on Thursday, March 4 is sponsoring a CLE seminar titled The Facts About FACTA: The 2003 Fair Credit Reporting Act Amendments.

The program will focus on the new Fair Credit Reporting Act Amendments (FCRA), which tightened regulation of the credit reporting industry and helped consumers gain greater control over their personal credit information.

The program moderator will be Lydia E. Payne-Johnson, executive director and chief privacy officer, Morgan Stanley, and chair of the NY ACCA Committee on Privacy.

The panel of speakers will include Franca Harris Gutierrez, James Mann and David Medine, all attorneys with Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering.

Morgan Stanley will host the seminar at the 4th Floor Auditorium of its New York City offices at 750 Seventh Avenue. The session will run from noon to 2 p.m.
