NY ACCA Seminar Will Examine International Employment Law

The Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America (NY ACCA) this month is planning a CLE seminar titled International Employment Law: An Update for Multinational Employers.

The program will take place on Thursday, April 6 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the offices of Nixon Peabody LLP, 437 Madison Avenue, New York City.

U.S. companies doing business overseas are at increased risk of employment related litigation and adverse publicity from overseas employment practices. The European Union is actively implementing guidelines and legislation relating to age discrimination, workforce reductions, employment contracts, and other cutting-edge issues. The program will provide a practical discussion of new legal requirements and how multinational companies are responding to these issues.

Speakers will be Philip M. Berkowitz, Nixon Peabody, and Pascale Legasse, Jocelyn Mitchell and Thomas Mueller-Bonanni, all of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

There is no registration fee for the program. For details on available CLE credits, see the Bulletin Board on The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel website at www.metrocorpcounsel.com.
