The Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America (NY ACCA) and the firm of Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C. this month are preparing a CLE seminar titled Insurance for Financial Institutions: Easy to Buy, But Will It Pay Your Claim?
The program will take place on Thursday, July 13 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Harvard Club, 27 West 44th Street, New York City. Registration will begin at 2:30 p.m., and the program will be followed by a reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Discussion topics will include: coverage for lawsuits, class actions, regulatory investigations, employee defalcations and other nasty surprises; current compliance issues; marketplace overview - what insurance is available, what isn't and how expensive it is; the hidden billion dollar exclusion - issues regarding 'matters uninsurable under the law;' coverage for property losses - first party insurance coverage and terrorism policies, and the art of war - persuading the insurance company to get your claim paid.
