The firm of Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner LLP this month is preparing a CLE seminar titled Global Privacy and Data Security on behalf of the Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America (NY ACCA).
The program will take place on Tuesday, November 15 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Roosevelt Hotel, 45 East 45th Street, New York City.
Topics to be covered include an overview of the legal framework of privacy and data security from both a domestic and an international perspective, trends for the future, and a practical approach to all of the relevant issues.
The conference will address data security issues, security breach response, U.S. and international privacy issues, regulation of email, instant messaging, SMS and other forms of wireless marketing.
In addition, the conference will focus on privacy and security issues associated with adware and spyware, RFID implementation, corporate human resources, outsourcing, and data protection issues.
