NY ACCA, Goodwin ProcterOffer Patent Law Seminar

The Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America (NY ACCA) and the firm of Goodwin Procter LLP last month presented a CLE seminar titled A Revolution in the Patent Laws? Legal and Ethical Perspectives.

The program took place on April 26 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at The Benjamin, 125 E 50th Street, New York City.

Panelists examined a trio of patent law cases currently pending before the U.S. Supreme Court, including Medimmune, Inc. v. Genentech, Inc. , Ebay, Inc. v. MercExchange, LLC and Lab Corp of Am. Holdings v. Metabolite Labs, Inc.

Speakers also attempted to answer several patent ethics questions such as: What is a competent opinion of counsel? Where has Knorr-Bremse taken us? What is material (the Federal Circuit revisits inequitable conduct)?
