Northeast ACC-A Slates Ethics Seminar

The Northeast Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America (ACC-NE) next month has scheduled an ethics seminar under the title The Challenges of In-House Counsel at Homewares Corporation, USA.

The program will take place on Wednesday, December 8 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Hasbro, Inc., 1011 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

This program demonstrates that complying with minimum legal, ethical and procedural standards does not make one "professional." Professionalism is largely a matter of attitude, and discussion of the attitudes and values held by modern lawyers is essential to resolve some of the critical issues facing the legal profession. The program is designed to help individual attorneys decide what it means to call oneself a "professional."

The discussion will be led by Jim Merklinger, managing attorney of ACC-America. Other panelists are still to be announced.

There is no cost for the seminar to ACC-NE members. For reservations, call Louise Rothery at (781) 334-3383 or e-mail [email protected].
