NJICLE Slates Product Liability Seminar

The New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) this month is planning a CLE seminar titled Product Liability: A Road Map to Mediation or Trial.

The program will take place on Saturday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center, Ryders Lane Exit off Route One, New Brunswick, NJ.

A panel of retired judges will be joined by experienced product liability practitioners to share their thoughts on evaluating and handling current and future product liability cases. Discussion topics will include: Recent Case Law Developments, including Laidlaw and Other Key Cases; A Trial Judge's Perspective on Product Liability Cases: Restatement of Aggregate Litigation and the Future of Mass Torts; Preparing the Case for the Plaintiff: Demonstration of Mediating a Product Liability Case from the Plaintiff's Perspective; Preparing the Case for the Defendant: Demonstration of Mediating a Product Liability Case from the Defendant's Perspective, and Evidentiary Issues and In Limine Motions in Product Liability Cases.

The program moderator will be Robert J. McGuirl, Law Offices of Robert J. McGuirl. Among the speakers will be the Hon. William A. Dreier, Norris, McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., and John B. Kearney, Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP.
