On January 1, the U.S. District Court in the Western District of Pennsylvania became the fourth federal district in the country to adopt specialized rules for patent cases. To give attorneys a better understanding of these rules, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) this month is planning a CLE seminar titled Local Patent Rules for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
The program will take place on Wednesday, September 7 from 1:30 to 4:45 p.m. at the Conference Center at Mellon, 501 Grant Street, Pittsburgh.
The seminar is designed to acquaint attorneys with the details of areas, such as:
- Requirements imposed on patent owners and accused infringers in terms of initial disclosures;
- Obligations to preserve the confidentiality of information disclosed over the course of the litigation and beyond;
