Massachusetts CLE this month is offering a CLE seminar titled Business Bankruptcy for Nonspecialists.
The program is scheduled for Wednesday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the MCLE Conference Center, 10 Winter Place, Boston.
With the approach of the six-month anniversary of the effective date of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA), the practice of business bankruptcy law is constantly evolving as more and more Chapter 11 cases are brought under BAPCPA. Our panel of experienced practitioners highlights several areas of Chapter 11 practice impacted by BAPCPA and will discuss what the law requires and how to comply.
The speakers will provide examples of how the new Chapter 11 law is being applied and practiced by the courts and constituents in and outside of Massachusetts, with a discussion of case law interpreting BAPCPA. Finally they discuss the trends and developments in corporate restructuring that have resulted post-BAPCPA and what the future likely holds for Chapter 11bankruptcies.
