NEOACCA Schedules SeminarOn Making Choices Of Organizational Entity

The Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America this month is planning a CLE seminar titled Making Entity Choices.

The program will take place on Thursday, June 16 from 8 to 10 a.m. at 1001 Lakeside Avenue, Cleveland.

Speakers will be Thomas J. Ubbing and James S. Aussem, both of Brouse McDowell LPA. Some of the topics they will address include:

  • State law business entities: corporation, limited liability company, limited partnership, limited partnership association, and general partnership;
  • Comparison of limited liability companies to limited partnerships;
  • Tax entities: types of entities, classifications, and general characteristics;
  • Choice of entity: the process;
  • Choice of tax entity;
  • Choice of state law business entity: corporation versus limited liability company.
