The session will address the relationship between insurer, insured and appointed counsel in litigation defended pursuant to liability insurance policy and will specifically address attorney-client privilege; practice considerations of counsel, carrier and client; is the insurer a co-client?; the insurer's "client" status in prejudgment interest cases, and the potential for malpractice exposure for in-house counsel.
