NAFTA-Related International Arbitrations

The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) this month is planning a CLE seminar titled Methanex v. USA: NAFTA Investor State Arbitrations and the Blurringof Public and Private InternationalLaw.

The program will take place on Monday, March 27 from noon to 1 p.m. at the BASF Board Room, 465 California Street, San Francisco.

Neil Popovic, an experienced international practitioner and lecturer at Boalt Hall School of Law on international environmental law, will speak about the recent NAFTA case of Methanex v. USA, international environmental regulation, and the changing relationship between private claims, state-to-state claims, diplomacy and treaty law.
