Latest Developments In Energy Law

The University of Texas School of Law CLE this month will present its 5th Annual Gas & Power Institute.

The program will take place on Thursday and Friday, September 28 and 29 at the DoubleTree Hotel Downtown, Houston. Sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first day and from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on the second day.

The institute focuses on the marketing and distribution of energy, including related business regulatory and contractual issues. Bringing together leading regulators, industry representatives, firm and in-house counsel, this year's conference is designed around an integrated series of energy law topics. Discussions will cover legislative and regulatory developments, deregulated energy markets, an overview of natural gas, and renewable energy alternatives.

Among the speakers are C. Baird Brown and Patrick R. Gillard, Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP; Drew J. Fossum, Panhandle Energy, and Marty Jo Rogers, Dynegy Inc.
