LACBA Plans Program On IP Law

What Every Corporate Lawyer Should Know Regarding Intellectual Property Law is the title of a CLE program presented by the Business & Corporations Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA).

The program will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 27 at Le Merigot Hotel, 1740 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica. It will be preceded by registration and a reception from 6 to 6:30 p.m.

Ron C. Ben-Yehuda, Sidley Austin Brown & Wood, and Michael K. Lindsey, Paul Hastings et al LLP, will be featured speakers.

The program has four objectives: to provide a basic understanding of the different types of intellectual property; to explore the differences between owning and licensing intellectual property; to survey different types of agreements involving intellectual property and key provisions in those agreements, and to provide a roadmap for spotting intellectual property issues in corporate due diligence.

For details on registration fees and CLE credits, see the Bulletin Board on The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel website at www.metrocorpcounsel.com.

To register, telephone the LACBA Member Services Department at (213) 896-6560 during regular business hours or e-mail [email protected].>
