LA Bar: Legal Basics Of Renewable Energy Projects

The legal basics of renewable energy projects, which are being planned and built in many regions in California even though much of the traditional real estate market has stalled, will be covered in a luncheon seminar sponsored by the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

The program will run from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Bar Association, 1055 West 7th Street in Los Angeles. Lunch will be provided at noon.

Speakers Kevin M. Kemper, Gordon Kemper LLP, and H. David Nahai, Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP will cover the potentials and pitfalls of renewable energy projects and the complexities of bringing such projects to fruition. Topics include site identification and acquisition considerations, interconnection and rights-of-way; environmental, permitting and planning issues; power purchase agreements; financing; and tax planning.
