The firm of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP this month is planning a CLE seminar for employment counsel and human resources professionals titled Conducting Internal Investigations of Discrimination & Harassment.
The program will take place on Wednesday, October 27 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Kramer Levin offices, 919 Third Avenue, 37th Floor, New York City. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the program will be followed by a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Conducting effective internal investigations into allegations of discrimination and harassment is essential to employee morale and productivity, maintaining a workplace free from discrimination and harassment and avoiding legal liability for employee misconduct. During this seminar, Kramer Levin attorneys will conduct a mock internal investigation into allegations of sexual harassment to demonstrate techniques on how to:
- Ask the right questions;
- Extract information from reluctant witnesses;
- Sort out relevant from irrelevant facts;
- Make credibility assessments;
- Come to the right conclusion;
- Take the appropriate corrective measures.
