On Thursday, June 16, the State Bar of California will hold a program to discuss Intellectual Property in Entertainment & Media.
It will run from9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Beverly Hills Hotel, 9641 Sunset Boulevard, Beverly Hills.
Among the topics under discussion are Opportunities and Challenges for Trademark Owners in New Media; New Gaming Worlds: The Rewards and Risks of Online and Social Games;the New World between Hollywood & Bollywood: Negotiating Enforceable Cross-Border License Agreements for the World's Largest Entertainment Markets; and New World Battles: Update on Internet-Related Entertainment Litigation.
Jimmy Nguyen, partner, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, will offer the welcome remarks and moderate the gaming panel. Other panelists are Cydney A. Tune, counsel, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP; Deborah Henderson, director of business and legal affairs, Paramount Digital Entertainment; and Melinda Demsky Mehringer, senior vice president, Content Protection Litigation, Fox Entertainment Group.
